Completion of all the Engagement Workshops with stakeholders

The DATA-READY project has successfully completed its first milestone of stakeholder engagement with five national workshops held across Greece, Germany, Cyprus, Portugal, and Poland.

These events brought together policymakers, educators, researchers, and school leaders to co-create a shared vision for integrating Data Literacy (DL) into compulsory education.

💡 Key takeaways:
✅ Broad consensus that Data Literacy is a core 21st-century competence, vital for critical thinking, ethical awareness, and informed decision-making.
✅ Recognition of common challenges — lack of coherent frameworks, limited teacher training, and fragmented initiatives.
✅ Strong momentum to collaborate on a European Data Literacy Framework and teacher training model that turn policy into practice.
✅ National workshops showcased inspiring local initiatives — from school-based projects in Cyprus and Portugal to cross-sector dialogues in Germany, Greece, and Poland.

These early workshops  represent an important milestone towards the project’s main goal: to develop a sustainable, evidence-based, and inclusive policy framework that offers all learners and teachers in Europe the opportunity to become “data-ready” for the digital age.
